Stainless Steel Fabrication, in Manchester

We fabricate stainless steel at our workshop in Little Hulton, Manchester, for environments where the steelwork has to be cleaned, inspected and signed off. Food and drink production, pharmaceutical and cleanroom facilities, commercial kitchens, and plant areas where corrosion would otherwise win.

Stainless is less forgiving than mild steel. Welds show, heat marks show, and a corner that cannot be reached with a cloth will fail an audit. So the detailing matters as much as the welding: continuous welds rather than stitched, radiused internal corners, no upward-facing ledges to collect debris, and fixings that come apart for cleaning.

What we fabricate in stainless

  • Access platforms, walkways and stairs, fully welded and slip resistant
  • Conveyor and equipment support frames, made to fit existing lines
  • Guarding, barriers and enclosures
  • Cladding and lining for wash-down areas
  • Bins, hoppers, trolleys and handling kit
  • Prep benches, tables and custom framework
  • Brackets and supports made to fit kit you already have
  • Architectural and detail stainless steelwork

Built to be cleaned

Hygienic fabrication is a design discipline, not a finish applied at the end.

On food and pharmaceutical work we detail for wash-down from the start:

  • Continuous welds, dressed back
  • Sloped surfaces that drain
  • Sealed box sections
  • Accessible fixings

That is what makes the difference during a BRC audit, and it is why we would rather be involved before the layout is fixed than after.

Common questions

Which grade of stainless do you use?

It depends on the environment. Tell us where it is going and what it will be cleaned with, and we will recommend a grade rather than defaulting to one.

Can you make something to fit machinery we already have?

Yes, and it is a lot of what we do. We survey the existing kit rather than working from a generic drawing.

Is your stainless work suitable for a BRC audited site?

It is designed with hygiene and audits in mind: continuous welds, easy-clean detailing, no debris traps. Tell us your audit requirements and we will detail to them.

Can you work on site as well as in the workshop?

Yes. We install our own work and we carry out stainless welding and modifications on site.
