We fabricate hygienic stainless steelwork for food and drink manufacturers from our workshop in Little Hulton, Manchester, and install it on live production sites.
Food-grade work has one constraint that governs everything else: it has to survive being cleaned, repeatedly, and it has to pass an audit while it does. That changes the detailing rather than the welding. No upward-facing ledges, no unsealed box sections, no internal corners a cloth cannot reach, no fixings that trap water. Stainless steel is the easy part.
A food factory cannot stop because a fabricator needs access.
We survey around production, pre-fabricate as much as possible off site, and install during shutdowns, out of hours or in phases.
That is also why we would rather quote from a site visit than a drawing.
The drawing does not show that the only route for a three metre section is past a running line.
It is designed with hygiene, safety and BRC audits in mind. Tell us your specific audit requirements and we will detail to them.
That depends on the product, the environment and the cleaning regime. We will recommend rather than default.
Yes, and it is often the best way. Tell us the window early so we can pre-fabricate to fit it.
Yes. We survey the existing kit. Support frames that have to marry up to an existing line are a large part of this work.
